How it all started

NeedCheese.com was started in 2001 as a Wisconsin gift delivery service for family and friends. Initially, we just wanted to make a convenient service that could make Wisconsin cheese easier to buy for ourselves. The first customers were family members sending out christmas gift baskets and seasonal cheese cut-outs.

Later that year, Wisconsin cheese curds were added to the list of products and suddenly orders started coming in from around the nation. It was a real thrill seeing our own orders get mixed in with others from all over the US. It was obvious that customers love our products as much as we do. Soon more products were added such as aged cheeses and other speciality items.

In 2005 a cheese web log was added to help us keep the world up-to-date on our latest product specials and adventures.

Who we are

NeedCheese.com is made up of one family in small town Wisconsin. We're happy to be making the products we grew up with available to everyone. When you receive your cheese fresh today, it'll be gone tomorrow!
